Choose your group on this page, tap through to WhatsApp, and send the message that's already typed for you. A moderator based here in Floripa confirms it and adds you in, usually same-day. Zero apps, zero fees, zero login.

Is it free?

Yes - every Floripa People Club group is free to join, no exceptions. We won't sell your number, won't let the chat turn into spam, and won't run ads in the groups.

Can I join more than one group?

Accepted Answer

Nothing stops you joining every group that fits. Surf at dawn, work from a coworking space by 10, volleyball after - that's three groups (Surf, Digital Nomads, Beach Volleyball Social) for one very normal Floripa day. Most members sit at 2 to 4.

What's the group size? Won't it be spammy?

Size is capped on purpose - under 250 people per group - so it still feels like a group chat, not a channel. Moderators pull anything that smells like an ad, a crypto scheme, or a random link. Members keep it that way.

Question 5

I'm only in Floripa for 5 days. Worth joining?

Five days is plenty of time to make it count. Tourists - 10 Days puts you at a Lagoa da Conceicao dinner table within your first 48 hours, plus a group already planning the Ilha do Campeche boat trip you'd never have found alone.

I don't have WhatsApp. Another option?

It's basically the local operating system here - surf-lesson bookings, moto rentals, even the doctor's office runs on it. So it's rarely a real blocker, just a five-minute download. If you truly can't use it, message us from the contact page and we'll work something out.

Are these groups safe? Vetted?

There's a light gate before anyone joins: one intro message with a photo, your name, where you're from, and the group you're picking. Harassment or scam reports get someone removed, full stop. This is people vouching for people, not a business listing.

Who runs this?

Floripa People Club is kept running by long-term residents and travellers who don't think anyone should be on their own here. One WhatsApp group in 2021 turned into ten over time. It's still just people who care, not a company.
